First European BlackBerry GPS navigational solution released  Tuesday, August 16 2005

[RSIC Press Release - Leiden, August 16th 2005]

RSIC and Locatienet present first European GPS enabled BlackBerry™ navigational solution

Holland based RSIC, in collaboration with partner Locatienet, today releases BerryVine Companion™. BerryVine Companion is a new BlackBerry application that enables users to access a wide array of location based functionality. By using it, users can view maps of their current location, look up nearby points of interest, plan routes and, in conjunction with an optional Bluetooth NMEA compatible GPS antenna, even use GPS guided navigation. All navigation is done through waypoint based navigation, a lightweight method of guiding users to their destination, fit for the current generation of BlackBerry 7000 series devices with BlackBerry OS 4.0 or higher. For the European market this is the first BlackBerry solution of its kind.

BerryVine Companion has been developed in collaboration with Locatienet, leaders in route, travel and geographic information services. The application is powered by Locatienet's geographical data and currently supports the BeNeLux, the United Kingdom and most other Western European countries, with support for the US and Canada coming soon. Because of its client/server structure, BerryVine Companion user licenses provide application usage time, with one year of usage included with the initial purchase. User licenses are sold on a try-before-you-buy basis and a free, Over-The-Air installable, fully functional 14-day trial version is available for download at all distribution outlets.

BerryVine Companion retails at € 89,95 through BerryVine.com and $ 99.95 through www.handango.com, and include one year of usage time. Additional usage time can be purchased through www.berryvine.com for € 45,- a year. Distribution inquiries can be made by contacting the BerryVine Sales Department at sales@berryvine.com
