Leadership and Team Work – such as being an Effective Leader in His Family, Labor and Community

Be a good leader goes far beyond simply exercise authority. A good leader defies his followers to question things that they take for granted and so the brings out of his position of comfort and suggests change their current situation. A person who exercises authority, in contrast, simply exerts pressure to force the other to change.

The problem is that it is not easy to change to the people. All of us abhor the changes. We like stay in our area of comfort.

That is why the exercise authority does not work when it requires a change in people. Only works when it comes to solving a technical problem that does not require a process of adaptation of part of the people.

Take, for example, a company that wants changes in your computer system to improve its operation. To acquire these new systems requires a simple order on the part of the manager, because this is the technical part of the problem. In this type of problems works very well the authority.

However, the implement new software also has a component of adaptation of part of the team. A good leader has to encourage his team to make the necessary changes to operate well with the new computer program.

If exercised authority at this point, just going to create pressure and probably some results. However, since the change would only be external, creates a relationship of dependency of the leader. This leads to nothing works when the leader is not.

A leader who exercises his leadership in a situation, it is going to challenge to his team to adapt to new change demonstrating their understanding of that is an adjustment process it will not happen in the overnight.

First is going to cause discomfort, as the team humanly is going to resist change. Even some are going to want revolt. That is why many times the leaders are attacked.

However, if the leader successfully implements change to a tolerable level for the other, he and his team are going to go ahead, since they are going to have managed to change the way they work successfully.

This wisdom can be applied in all areas, not only in a company, because all we are leaders in greater or lesser degree.

Perhaps it is time to change the strategy.
This is a good leader! Challenge to the other to opt out of your comfort ineffective and help to adapt to a new reality more effective.
